Why the embassy step can’t be skipped for Qatar
Qatar has not signed the Hague Apostille Convention, so an apostille sticker carries no legal weight there. Every certificate — educational, personal or commercial — must instead carry the Qatar Embassy’s own legalisation stamp before it’s accepted by any local authority, employer or institution.
Depending on the document and employer, a further MOFA stamp inside Qatar may also be required — we flag this in advance so your paperwork is complete on arrival.
